We spent 10 days at The Chedi and would return without hesitation. Everything about this hotel is outstanding. The food is excellent, the service attentive without being forced and the accommodations immaculate. There are so many people we encountered who deserve kudos, but our hearts were full finding a fellow South African in the Food & Beverage team — however warmly we praise Victoria here, we would still not be doing justice to her warmth, her kindness but still thorough professionalism. She made us ginger tea when she discovered one of us was feeling poorly, she made sure to chat to us whenever she could, checking in on us frequently. She was one of the highlights of our stay. There is no shortage of five star hotels in Doha but the Chedi is different. It is special. And much of that is thanks to the people who work there, people like Victoria Nhlapo who go the extra mile to make guests feel special.

We stayed at The Chedi Katara for three nights on our way back from Tanzania as part of our honeymoon, and our experience was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived—very early in the morning—we were warmly welcomed and fortunate enough to be offered an early check-in. To our delight, we were also upgraded to a stunning room, beautifully decorated as a surprise for our honeymoon. The hotel itself is breathtaking, blending elegance with tranquility, but what truly sets The Chedi apart is its outstanding staff. Their warmth and attention to detail made our stay unforgettable. Each morning at breakfast, Moncef and Mark ensured we felt completely looked after. Yacine and Tareeq were exceptional waiters, offering flawless service throughout our stay. Koyel always greeted us by name with a radiant smile, instantly making us feel at home. Chef Saeed prepared the most delicious manakeesh and greeted us each time with genuine kindness. The pool and beach areas were impeccably clean and relaxing, with refreshing bottles of cold water offered the moment we arrived—small touches that made a big difference. We also had the pleasure of visiting the spa, where Eva provided my wife and I with a sound healing session that left us both feeling incredibly relaxed. I highly recommend booking a treatment with her if you're visiting. We enjoyed our stay so much that I’ve already convinced my parents to book a trip at the end of the month. Without a doubt, we’ll be returning to The Chedi Katara for another memorable stay in the future.

The location is ideal; you can easily walk to the nearest metro station (or they will bring you there in a golf buggy!), you are close to the Pearl and can get to the other side of the city quickly too. The staff were so helpful and accommodating. The bed was the most comfortable we have slept in in a long time. The room was beautiful. Pool was fabulous. Hotel is beautifully furnished. Breakfast options were hugely varied.
